When Trusting God ‘Seems’ Hard

It’s so easy to say that we trust God, isn’t it?

“God will work it out”, we say...

Then we go to working on it afterwards.

“Nothing is too hard for the Lord”, we say...

Then we find out later that trying to solve the problem is out of the confines of our ability.

You want to know why you’re still struggling with that thing you’ve been praying about?

That cherished sin, that job, that internship, that degree, that person, that business….

It’s because you’ve been trying to do God’s work.

He’s been trying to write your story, but you keep trying to take the pen!

He’s been telling you to sit in the passenger seat and let Him drive

But you’ve been trying to take control of the steering wheel!

He’s been asking you to listen

But you’ve been talking over Him

He’s saying to you today… “I’ve got it, just trust me”

So, in this moment,

Sit in that silence, try to hear what He’s been trying to tell you.

Get in the Word because He has a message for you there.
