“I’ll Trust You, Lord” - Donnie McCurkin

Have you ever felt like you were trying your best to do the right thing, but your whole world still came crashing down?

Maybe you were praying, doing what’s right, staying close to God, yet everything around you started falling apart...?

That’s exactly what happened to Job.

He worshipped. He prayed. He honored God. But suddenly, he lost everything. His home. His wealth. His health. Even his children. People who once loved him started turning their backs. He didn’t understand why it was happening… but even in the middle of the pain, Job chose to say:

“Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.” (Job 13:15)

That’s not weak faith. That’s real faith.

Sometimes God doesn’t show up the way we expect. Sometimes He’s silent. Sometimes we pray, and nothing changes. Sometimes it hurts again. and again. and again.

But God is still God, even in the ashes.

Like the song says:
“What if it hurts?… What if you cry?… What if it doesn’t work out the first time that you try?”

Job had all those moments. But he kept trusting. He didn’t trust because life was easy…he trusted because he knew who God was, even in the dark.

So maybe today, you’re in your own personal storm. Maybe you’re still standing, but barely.
Let this be your declaration:
“I will trust You, Lord.”

Not because it feels good.
Not because it all makes sense.
But because He is still faithful.
And He still redeems broken things.

Just like Job, your story isn’t over.
God restores. God remembers. God rewards those who hold on.

So today… hold on.

🌸 Prayer:

Dear Jesus,
Sometimes trusting You is hard, especially when life feels heavy.
But just like Daniel, I want to stand strong and believe You’re with me.
Even when I feel afraid, even when I can’t see the way, help me to say,
“I’ll trust You, Lord.”
Thank You for never leaving me in the lions’ den alone.
Help me to keep blooming in every season, especially the hard ones.
Amen.
